The "Write an Animal Poem" competition was held in the autumn of 2017.

We received a lovely selection of poems, which were varied, interesting and fun. The writing and word choices were of a high standard. A selection of the poems are now on display in the library. A number of entries will also be published in the Spring 2018 edition of Community News.

There were two winners in the Age 8-11 year (Y4, Y5, Y6) category and 8 commendations.

There was one winner in the Age 5-8 year (Y1, Y2, Y3) category and 5 commendations.

Every participant received a certificate. The three winners each received a book token, a notebook and pen, whilst the commendations each received a selection of pens and pencils.
