It's free to join whether you live, work or study in Surrey and you can start the process from home if you have an email address at Join your library - Surrey County Council (surreycc.gov.uk). You may need to visit the Lingfield Community Library and bring one piece of identification with your name and address.
All you need to do is:
- Choose your local library.
- Fill in your details.
- Choose a PIN, which is your password for logging into various library services.
You will receive an automated email with your temporary membership number. Within a few days you will receive an email confirming your membership and details of a new membership number which will replace the temporary number.
Alternatively, you can visit the Library in person with proof of name and address. Children can be added to an adult’s ticket and join at the same time.’
